Alessio HR Officer

Let’s have a chat with Alessio, our HR Officer.

Give a short introduction about yourself. When did you start working at Headroom, and how?

I’m Alessio, a 27-year-old HR Officer at Headroom Assistance. I joined Headroom in December 2022 after completing an HR Generalist course. During my job search, I was drawn to Headroom because of the incredible talent on the team. I knew this would be the perfect place to put my newly acquired skills to use. Despite having multiple interviews lined up, Headroom’s offer stood out, and I immediately knew it was the right fit for me.

What’s your role at Headroom? What is your main focus area daily?

As the HR Officer, my role revolves around two main areas: administration and projects. On the administrative side, I ensure the HRIS system is accurate, coordinate with payroll and pension providers, address employee inquiries, and manage applications for government benefits. My project work varies but often involves streamlining administrative processes, goal setting, policy implementation, and data analysis.

What do you enjoy most about working at Headroom?

Working at Headroom is a unique blend of learning and growth, both professionally and personally. The team here is incredibly supportive and empathetic, balancing hard work with plenty of fun. I’m constantly honing new skills, particularly in data analysis, which I’ve developed significantly since joining

A productivity tool or hack that everyone should use?

I’m a big fan of the Pomodoro technique. It involves working intensely for 50 minutes, followed by a 10-minute break. This method helps me maintain focus and productivity throughout the day while allowing time to decompress or handle easier tasks during the breaks.

Collaboration is essential in any workplace. How do you maintain strong relationships with colleagues, especially when working remotely?

Maintaining strong relationships is easy with my Headroom colleagues, as everyone is outgoing and open-minded. I enjoy participating in in-person activities to connect with them. Online, I frequently communicate with my team, ensuring our meetings always include time to catch up and share personal updates, keeping the team spirit alive.

Where do you see Headroom in 10 years?

In 10 years, I envision Headroom Assistance expanding into more countries, with our Executive Assistants supporting C-Level managers globally.
